Pacwest is looking for someone driven and motivated to join our team at our facility in North Las Vegas. This is an entry level job with opportunity for growth and job advancement. The job includes following laboratory protocols and procedures, cleaning, organizing, maintaining equipment, preparing material, and final packaging. This job will also require travelling five to seven times per year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and utilize equipment and machinery according to SOPs.
- Regularly display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples.
- Preparatory duties that allow workflow and production to continue smoothly.
- Accurately weight and batch raw materials.
- Chopping/Milling/Grinding materials.
- Vac sealing grinded material.
- Complete all post-processing responsibilities including the discarding of material.
- Regular cleaning of workstation and surrounding areas.
- Washing laboratory glassware and other dishes, clean laboratory equipment, counters.
- Constantly upkeeping a clean and organized workspace.
- Material stocking and sample preparation.
- Adhering to company SOP’s for equipment operation, processes, and safety measures.
- Identify problems and find creative solutions.
- Compliantly complete assigned projects.
- Promote a strong customer service culture while adhering to the highest safety and industry standards.

Qualifications:
- One year of previous practical work environment experience is required.
- Ability to maintain an incredibly high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Quick learner and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting.
- Comfortable working in laboratory setting.
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Overall tidiness and attentiveness.
- General ability to understand facility specific processes such as weighing, measuring, mixing, cleaning, sterilization, documentation, process control automation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, quality and chemical sanitation principles, specifically food or nutritional products is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Physically fit: ability to meet physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing for long hours, and performing repetitive work.
- Ability to work in an environment that may include noise, dust, chemicals and various other environmental conditions.
- Regular exposure to finely milled material is expected. Allergies or sensitivities to airborne material should be taken into consideration before applying for this role (PPE will be provided).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work, problem solve, and communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel within continental USA approximately five to seven times per year.
- Fluent in English with the ability to read and speak.
- Clean driving record and ability to find addresses.
- Reliable transportation.
- Pass a criminal background investigation.
