A Brief Overview
The part-time HR Generalist will support and assist the HR Manager with the daily functions of the HR department including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions and special projects.  This is a hybrid position working occasionally from the Tempe office but primarily from home. 

What you will do

  • Support employees and managers by triaging HR related concerns and identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; recommending selected solution; coaching and counseling those involved.
  • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action.
  • Completes special human resources projects as assigned by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports.
  • Prepares information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends as requested.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains management and employee confidence and protects organization operations by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
  • Improves human resources job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to human resources and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more Experience in an HR Generalist role
  • 1 year or more HR project management
  • 1 year or more Employee onboarding
  • 1 year or more Recruiting
  • 1 year or more Benefits administration
  • 1 year or more Performance management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • MS Office suite to include Teams and SharePoint
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management system, Paylocity preferred
  • PHR - Professional Human Resources Certification Human Resources Certification Institute

Salary : $30 - $35
