Job Overview:
This position will be responsible for providing cost control support at the DOW Seadrift facility. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in project cost performance analysis for the project team through effective and compliant cost attribution. Controllers will take the time submitted from the field and evaluate the data in excel as well as other systems. Additionally, it is the cost controller's responsibility to monitor project revenues' visibility by monitoring project budgets or contracts as the scope of work progresses.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Involved in the monitoring, executing, and reporting of the overall project budget
- Ensuring that the project is completed within the approved budget/process
- Working with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability
- Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures
- Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality
- Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price
- Ensure that financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are effectively implemented
- Attend meetings with the on-site Management team along with PMI to support discussions related to the responsibilities above
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years relevant cost control experience
- Demonstrates strong knowledge and skill level with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have knowledge in payroll data software programs along with Microsoft Office suite
- Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems
- Able to generate budgets and reports
