Applicants must be 21 years of age Job Summary: The Group Sales Manager is responsible for generating group business from assigned vertical market(s) to include but not limited to Group Ski Lift Tickets, Rentals and Ski School, Local Lodging Partners, Bus Group, and Summer Group Activities. Job Details: Year round, full-time position supporting the sales team at Palisades Tahoe Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned: General Responsibilities: Proactively sell all Palisades Tahoe activity products, log all sales activity in Amadeus Event Management Solutions (AMES/formerly Delphi). Work well with all internal departments in a team environment to consistently deliver results to clients to include but not limited to Ski School, Rentals, F&B, Events, Conference Planning, Front Desk, Call Center Reservations, Revenue Management Team, Marketing and Sales. Conduct regular outbound sales efforts to develop new group business out of key local and regional markets while meeting or exceeding outbound call expectations. Execute annual PT Sales Strategic Plan action items developed for the group sales LOB. Respond to all incoming leads in a timely fashion. Develop post purchase / pre group arrival communication strategy to enhance overall group experience. Ownership of PT Local Lodging Ticket Program, inclusive of product development, contracting, fulfillment of orders and account management. Ownership of PT Group Bus program. Manage Day Group Sales Coordinator position. Contract writing and negotiations. Support PT Business Development Manager to attract, contract and execute large corporate events. Manage time accordingly between outbound calls, sales trips, site tours, proposal and contract writing and networking with clients. Track and report on regional competitive trends. Support other Sales Managers and cover for them when necessary (team environment). Meet or exceed sales goals as determined by the Director of Sales. Be willing and able to work weekends and/or nights when necessary for site inspections or if needed to make sales goals. The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees.
