Pallet Services is the largest supplier of 48"x 40" 4-way "A" and "B" grade pallets in the Western New York region. We carry over 50,000 pallets in inventory for just in time deliveries. Quality, on-time delivery and competitive pricing have made us the success we are today.
Pallet Services manufactures new and recon pallets. We are an integrated supplier and can design or simply manufacture to your specifications. Who We’re Looking for:
Pallet Services, Inc is looking for someone who’s self-motivated, and result-oriented to join our team in our Rochester, NY facility.
Experience/Education:
· High School Diploma or Higher / aPHR or a similar certificate preferred but not required
· Minimum 1 year of recent office experience in manufacturing or warehouse setting (roles such as HR Assistant, Administrative Assistant)
· Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently
· Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
· Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
· Must be willing to spend at least 1 hour a day on the production floor monitoring the employee’s safety.
· Understanding of all applicable State and Federal employment and safety regulations.
- We are happy to consider recent graduates with no experience, but major in Human Resources Management or Organizational Development!
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Answering employee questions
- Processing incoming mail
- Creating and distributing documents
- Providing customer service to organization employees
- Serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administrators
- Maintaining computer system by updating and entering data
- Setting appointments and arranging meetings
- Participating in recruitment efforts
- Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
- Scheduling job interviews and assisting in the interview process
- Collecting employment and tax information
- Administering new employment assessments
- Serving as a point person for all new employee questions
- Maintaining current HR files and databases
- Updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records
- Other assigned duties per HR Manager requests
- Monitor employee’s safety and perform regular daily safety inspections on a production floor
What we offer:
Start rate $22 - $24/hour
Paid lunch break.
Monday - Friday schedule
Mid-day shift: 12pm-8pm (flexible)
