Job Summary or Objective: Primary function of this role is to direct the day-to- day operations of two areas within the innovation center. The CNC wood milling operations and Pallet assembly operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ability to communicate across the board with management as well as general labor associates.

Schedule and direct the general labor associates in time tracking, paid time off, ensuring sufficient staff to cover innovation center needs.

Assist in the design and execution of CNC cutting tooling and maintenance of such tooling.

Keep general appearances of equipment and work environment in line with world class manufacturing principles. Maintain routine maintenance schedule with minimal disruption to the assembly process.

Experience is deploying and executing solid preventative maintenance programs as well as executing corrective action.

Responsible for conducting time studies and data collection and analysis, as well as implementing changes which would impact efficiency.

Maintain accurate inventory counts for all raw and work in process materials.

Maintain OSHA standards, by completing reports, attending webinars, and filing annual reports.

Continually review, discuss continuous improvement ideas to fruition.

Adhere to world class manufacturing and lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications and Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office as well as utilization of time tracking systems. Has previous experience in CNC wood machining equipment and the operations of such equipment. Must have knowledge of wood species as it relates to CNC milling.
Knowledge and maintenance of dust collections systems.

Education: Minimum experience: High School Diploma or equivalent GED certification. Minimum 2 – 5 years supervisory experience. Preferred experience:
Associates degree or undergraduate, manufacturing, and supervisory experience.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is typically working in a light industrial work environment with associated noise level, the building is heated and air conditioned. Employees will be exposed to temperature and humidity variations through the seasons of the year and may at times, be outdoors – walking or travelling between buildings or off-site entities. The employee will also perform part of their work in a typical office environment at a workstation with computer and other equipment with normal level s of noise. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.)

Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift 50 LBS on occasion, which will enable them to assist in lifting an assembled pallet. Must be able to make repeated movements of fingers, hand, and wrists. Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects. Use muscles for extended periods without getting tired.

Face masks not required for Covid-19. The only PPE requirement is based on what may be required on the plant floor (ie. hard hat, eye shield, boots, vests, etc.).
