What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generalist position at Par Terre Winery?
This job is a combination of many different roles that will help to keep the winery running. This job is designed for someone who wants to get an introduction into the wine industry and learn a variety of skills.
Essentially, the main areas of work would fall under Winemaking and Cellar activities, Tasting Room/Hospitality, Events, & Kitchen/Food Prep.
Harvest is a very exciting time in the winery and we need someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. It is a wonderful way to deep-dive into how wine is made and gain experience at the same time.
Tasting Room and Events would require someone with a passion for wine, people, and art. This role would also require some experience in food & health safety or a desire to learn about it.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Must be able to walk across wet concrete and step over hoses
- Intermittent work outside in varying weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Minimum age requirement of 21
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent,
- Must have a passion for wine, and a desire to work in an evolving environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Must possess strong organizational skills, work well independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- History of responsible and appropriate conduct
- Fit and able to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies as needed
Reliable transportation and a Driver's License required
