What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Stores position at PARACHUTE HOME?
As the Head of Stores this person will lead day-to-day operations and the P&L for Parachute Home’s rapidly expanding retail business, an integral part of the company’s long-term growth strategy.
This critical role will be responsible for leading all aspects of the retail store channel, helping ensure we deliver an amazing customer experience, build and develop a world-class field organization, and continually improve operations and unit economics. This role will require strong partnerships with key leaders across the company in the areas of real estate, store development, marketing, supply chain, e-commerce, customer service, and technology.
What You’ll Do:
- Make Parachute Home the specialty retailer of choice for top talent across the country.
- Deliver a best-in-class retail NPS.
- Develop a clear set of strategic and operational plans for the Retail organization, managing execution, measuring and delivering results.
- Provide inspirational leadership and direction to direct report team. Support the development of the next generation of exceptional leadership talent across the retail organization.
- Lead multiple teams and programs critical to the channel’s success, including the new store opening team, central operations, visual merchandising, labor, and loss prevention.
- Support the continual evolution of the Retail organization design as we scale.
- Identify opportunities, develop strategies, present recommendations and implement programs that will enhance retail store operational effectiveness and 4-wall profitability.
- Partner with Store Development, Product, Learning, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Supply Chain teams to ensure products and services exceed customer expectations; collaborate and influence relationships across departmental lines and the field to accomplish goals.
- Partner with Human Resources to create scalable and standardized policies and procedures that support the growth of the retail business and continued safety of our customers and retail employees.
Who You Are:
- 10 years of successful retail leadership experience operating multiple (30 ) retail stores nationally or internationally.
- Must be customer focused, both internal and external.
- Must have experience with global or multi-region leadership responsibility, including remote team oversight.
- Must be highly adept and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships across the company including a successful track record of leadership where influencing skills are critical.
- Must have experience as a manager who can influence people, processes and technology choices in a manner that enriches the company’s culture and overall team performance.
- Must have strong analytical acumen, with the ability to manage a complex P&L and drive profit improvement while also continually improving the customer experience.
- Must be a consummate team player and servant leader, putting others before self and actively engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Must have proven experience in strategic and organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop and retain world class talent.
