Extrusion Machine Operator

Our company searching for Extrusion Technicians who will be responsible for producing and ensuring quality products to meet the standards of our customer's needs. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of specific materials and machinery regarding extruding all while following our quality standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities/duties:

• Consistently and safely operate extrusion machines at or above standard levels of operation including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and utilization.
• Make adjustments to the extrusion machine as necessary to maintain product quality and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, such as material inconsistencies, equipment malfunctions, or blockages.
• Conduct regular quality checks on the food products, visually inspecting for defects, measuring dimensions, and performing tests to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Wears proper PPE.
• Complies with plant-specific policies.
• Performs all job duties in a safe manner, and abide by all safety rules and policies.
• Recognizes product defects and makes adjustments or repairs to equipment to make corrections.
• Troubleshoot new jobs and optimize current operations.
• Ensures the machine is stocked and running.
• Reports recurring defects and deficiencies with the production schedule, product, and machine to management.
• Works to maintain a safe and clean work environment for co-workers.
• Work closely with other team members and assist others in interrelated tasks as needed or as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of extrusion experience (Required)
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Must have attention to detail, a sense of urgency, be self-directed, and display strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with FDA, USDA, FISMA, and cGMPs a plus, but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Candidates with food extrusion manufacturing experience experience are encouraged to apply

Shifts Availability:

2nd and 3rd shift-12 hour shift (ONLY)

Pay Rate: 20hr-30hr

Location: Dayton. NJ 08810
