Vice President Of Human Resources Job Description
We are the largest outsourced vendor in Western and Central Massachusetts, and we are just getting started. We aspire to serve 1,000 customers across the entire country, and we won’t stop until we get there. Ranked as one of Forbes Small Giants, we have an intense focus on culture, people, process, and continuous improvement. We are determined to be the best at everything we do, and we aren’t afraid to do the work needed to get there.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) to lead our HR department. The VP of HR will oversee all HR functions, develop HR strategies, and ensure the implementation of HR initiatives that align with our business objectives. Their keen eye for improvement will identify training and process enhancement opportunities, driving efficiency while addressing employee concerns. Collaborating closely with departmental leaders; they will play a pivotal role in maintaining service excellence, nurturing talent, and fostering a supportive work environment. They will also play a crucial role in our acquisition strategy – helping both during the due diligence stage as well as the integration.
Primary Responsibilities
This candidate should possess a relentless curiosity and an unwavering commitment to problem-solving. They should strive to understand the intricacies of HR issues and exhibit a drive to uncover the root causes behind them. Their commitment to thorough investigation and attention to detail ensures that they not only address surface-level issues but also contribute to sustainable solutions by tackling the underlying causes.
As the go-to person for HR escalations, you'll tackle issues with finesse, ensuring every employee leaves satisfied. With a focus on quality assurance, you'll set the bar high for exceptional HR service delivery. We are looking for someone with a knack for developing talent, a people-centric mindset, and a proven track record in HR leadership; and isn’t afraid to have a little fun doing it!
We also want people who are smart, creative, and willing to share their ideas about how we can make our company an even better place to work. We are growing fast and want great people who are invested and excited to be along for this ride. Lastly, we hope you aren’t all work and no play. Whether participating in team-building activities, enjoying office events, or just having a bit of fun during the workday, we believe in enjoying each other’s company.
The VP of HR will also need to be available to help with the final stages of due diligence on potential acquisitions and play a major role in the integration of people during the integration of an acquisition. This will mean that the position holder will need to travel occasionally and may need to spend an extended period of time (2-4 weeks) in the city where an acquisition has been completed.
