Park Hospitality (Donna’s, Lowboy, Bar Flores) is seeking a Cashier for our Lowboy To-Go Window!
We are a small, growing group of neighborhood bars and restaurants with a strong sense of community and hospitality. Our first venue, Wolf and Crane, is a Japanese whisky and cocktail bar in Little Tokyo that just celebrated its 10-year anniversary.
On Sunset in the heart of Echo Park, we operate Bar Flores, a female-centered and latin inspired cocktail bar, Lowboy, a neighborhood bar with everything you could want, easy atmosphere, good drinks, and delicious smash burgers, and most recently, Donna’s, an East-coast inspired, Italian red-sauce joint that feels like a nightly dinner party.
In all of our venues we strive to create comfortable spaces where our guests feel at home.
Ideal candidates must demonstrate strong people skills, upselling, work independently, and follow systems. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, possesses a positive and respectful attitude, and enjoys taking part in a well-run operation with a team that takes pride in the work they do.
Full job responsibilities and qualifications will be assessed and discussed upon consideration. Must be willing to work weekends and nights.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work the to-go window register using Toast POS
- Package food and drink orders for delivery drivers and guests
- Sell food and cocktails to walk-up guests
- Bottle prepared, batched cocktails / restock the to-go fridge with beverages
- Prepare and package condiments
- Label and date all prepped food items accurately to ensure proper rotation
- Assist with storeroom duties as needed, such as receiving orders and rotating stock
- Maintain professional communication with all staff to accommodate all guest requests and special dietary needs
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Ensure that equipment in work areas are clean and in proper working condition
- Adhere to proper sanitation and safety standards
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all associates
- Help create a positive and professional environment
- Report any equipment in need of repair or service
- Attend all meetings and / or trainings sessions as required
- Understand and adhere to established company policies as well as Federal, State & Local laws
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a professional who realizes they are a strategic partner for success
- Knowledge of food and beverages
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions; some knowledge of Spanish is preferred
- Ability to grasp, lift and / or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to maintain positive and effective communication with the line staff, Front of House staff, General Manager, Head Chef and Sous Chef
- Ability to stand, walk, and / or sit continuously perform essential functions for an extended period of time
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations, distinguish product taste, texture and presentation, and observe preparation
- Perform other assigned duties
