What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRNA position at Park Nicollet Clinic?
Position Summary:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist has the responsibility to administer safe analgesia and anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist or physician. The CRNA will provide resuscitation services throughout the hospital. The CRNA will demonstrate an awareness of the objectives of PNHS and the department and will participate in attaining those goals.
Education/Experience:
1. Graduate from a School of Nursing and from a School of Anesthesia.
2. Master's degree in anesthesia or related-field preferred.
3. Participates in one's professional organization (desirable).
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
1. Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Minnesota.
2. Certification by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or Board eligible if new hire.
3. Fulfill credentialing requirements.
4. This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
7. Computer keyboarding (desirable)
8. BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

We have an incredible team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists who provide care for patients ages 10 months to 99 across 3 Same Day Surgery Centers, 11 operating rooms and we are growing! Our patients must meet strict criteria for the Ambulatory setting and all are tested for COVID-19. We perform anesthesia for many surgical specialties including orthopedic, vascular, plastics, ENT, dental, general, GYN, eye, urology, one level spine, colo-rectal, and laparoscopic cases. Our Same Day Centers provide variety and a fast paced environment that will challenge you in your practice as a CRNA.
