NOW HIRING - 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Meet with Value Stream associates on a regular basis to discuss issues, solutions, and challenges, thereby cultivating a culture of ongoing improvement. Establish a visually controlled environment to guarantee no problems are hidden.
PAY RANGE: Salary dependent on experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Observe and adhere to all safety precautionary measures and practices, comprising 5S safety guidelines, while following and meeting standard work requirements
Lead the plant value stream(s) in daily operation and continuous improvements, which include but are not limited to:
Help the Value Stream Manager in creating continuous product flow, utilizing pull systems, and leveling the workload
Instill and maintain employee empowerment and a positive team atmosphere in the Value Stream(s) by:
Provide effective cross training for Value Stream associates and backups from other value streams to guarantee continuous smooth running of the value stream
Be capable of leading Kaizens
Work with the Value Stream Manager to design the future value stream map and manage the plans to achieve it as documented in the Value Stream Tracking Center
Able to foster professionalism with all associates, along with internal and external customers
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In charge of leading operation of one or more plant value streams
Able to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities
Capable of creating and maintaining enthusiasm for challenges
Must be able to serve as a model for promoting safety, new ideas, and positive changes
Under the direction of the Value Stream Manager, implement the Parker Lean System and Win Strategy, to make sure a safe work environment, push quality improvements, provide customer service, develop a qualified workforce, and to reduce inventories, operating costs, and lead times
Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations and metrics
Responsible for developing and leading associates, employment decisions, and performance assessments of an assigned plant value stream(s)
Responsible for leading all aspects of the plant value stream(s) under the direction of the Value Stream Manager to include:
Qualifications:
- Education:
High School diploma or GED
Bachelor’s degree
- Experience:
Demonstrated successful leadership required, 3-5 years in management or supervisor role preferred
Working with Lean & Leading Kaizens
- Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated teambuilding skills
Sound decision making skills
Good math, reading and writing skills
Need to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
Good computer skills
Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail
