Job Purpose
The Receptionist position is responsible for directing calls and providing an excellent customer service experience. In many cases, the person in this position is the first Parr employee a customer interacts with so they are responsible for giving the customer a positive and memorable first impression. The Receptionist position helps ensure that customers reach the person they are intending to and this helps support our mission to provide "Legendary Service Through Teamwork".
Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to answer a high volume of incoming phone calls, determine the customer's needs, questions, complaints, concerns and forward the call to the appropriate Parr associate
- Employ professional call handling techniques, including warm transfers
- Maintain a friendly, upbeat tone of voice at all times, ensuring a positive experience for the customer
- Able to answer customers questions and provide general information
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers
- Efficiently manage one's time
- Occasional clerical duties as directed
- Other duties that may be assigned
- Demonstrate positive interactions with the public and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees, so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized
- Support and contribute to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, and identifying and reporting potential liabilities
- Adhere to company procedures, policies and protocols as set forth in the Hourly Employees Handbook
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to work unsupervised and a desire for high level of responsibility
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
- Must be tolerant of co-workers, knowing that honest mistakes will be made
- Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy office environment
- Willingness to share department responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of personal computers & applications
- Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Must be able to type 40 WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Class C driver's license or reliable alternative transportation required

- Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types. Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold.

Working Conditions
This position works in an office environment at a desk with a phone and a computer. Either at cubicle or a reception desk at an office. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day
- Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
- Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary
