General Description :
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Fitness Center Attendant must have a passion for fitness and excellent customer services.
The attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and safe fitness environment for all members at all times.
The Fitness Center Attendant will exhibit a positive, helpful and friendly attitude ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests.
The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities :
Prevention, evaluation, management, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries under the approval of the team physician.
- Engages members and guests to demonstrate proper use of center stations and associated equipment.
- Answers questions within the scope of this position and effectively refers to Supervisor for all other member questions / concerns.
- Ensures the center remains sanitized, clean and organized at all times to include organizing, cleaning and sanitizing fitness stations and equipment after each scheduled session.
- Assess each piece of equipment in the facility at the beginning and end of each shift / day to ensure proper placement, safety and aesthetics.
- Hourly rounding of restrooms to ensure a safe, clean environment for all members.
- Report maintenance, repair or supply needs to Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist in adherence of fitness center policies by all members.
- Proficient in use and member instruction of fitness center scheduling and member software.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area.
