Parsons is seeking experienced Scrum Master to support the Air Operations Center (AOC) Services program in the Langley AFB, VA location. The AOC WS provides the Combined/Joint Forces Air Component Commander (C/JFACC), Airspace Control Authority (ACA), and Area Air Defense Commander (AADC) with the capabilities to develop and execute the strategy, plans, and Command and Control (C2) processes to successfully employ theater-wide air, space, and cyber forces to achieve desired effects in support of a Joint Force Commander’s (JFC’s) campaign objectives. These positions are contingent upon award.
The Scrum Master shall be familiar with Agile Scrum, SAFe implementations and Program Increment Planning. The Scrum Master must have the charisma and leadership abilities to guide teams in the following of processes and capturing valuable metrics. In addition, the candidate must be efficient, with little direction, in removing obstacles and impediments, ensuring that features are delivered on time. The candidate will help remove obstacles and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement to create value for the customer. The Scrum Master will also possess effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT management, or a related IT field
- Certified Scrum Master
- 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master (Agile Scrum, SAFe)
- 4 years of experience with widely accepted Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Kanban board planning poker
- 3 years of experience with re-architecting/re-hosting (lift and shift) migration of applications to cloud-native architecture
- 2 years of DevOps implementation experience
- 2 years of microservices implementation experience
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret or higher level clearance if required by the customer (i.e. Top Secret)
Preferred:
- Active US DoD Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years
- Graduate-level degree in Engineering or a related technical or business field
- Experience working in Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and general understanding of CAOC processes and procedures in support of execution of the Air Tasking Order(ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).
