Responsibilities
Coordinate physical health related processes of the HCQU. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement training (face-to-face, on-line, webinar and home-study) which will increase competency and capacity of medical health care in the community serving developmentally disabled individuals.
- Assist with the review of health practices and policy development in areas defined by the Lead County and MOC.
- Assist in reviewing reports and investigations of deaths, injuries, accidents and hospitalizations for trends and outliers agency and county-wide as requested by county personnel.
- With state, regional, and other HCQU staff, analyze aggregate health patterns and trends.
- Maintain professional relationships with all Agency Providers, staff, Supports Coordinators and Case Managers, local health care providers, hospitals and hospice providers.
- Research, develop and present informational materials and products that will assist, educate, and support individuals with developmental disabilities as well as their caregivers/staff and community health professionals.
- Attend HCQU sponsored functions and activities and perform duties as requested by management team.
- Act 33 and Act 34 clearance and FBI background check, if applicable
- Valid PA Driver’s license
- Current and active Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License or LPN License
- Registered Nurse or LPN with at least 5 years of nursing experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or LPN
- Five (5) years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Basic computer skills
- Group instruction and education experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and establish relationships with others
- Valid Driver’s license
- Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances
