Concrete Polisher / Epoxy Flooring Technician

Growing company seeks qualified and experienced concrete polishing professionals. Work is primarily focused in SE Michigan with VERY little work out of town/on the road.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct yourself safely, efficiently, and professionally at all times.

- Responsibly and productively use our extensive fleet of equipment to polish concrete.

- Aside from concrete polishing, prep concrete for various coatings, and remove a variety of glues, mastics, failing coatings, etc.
- Securely load, secure, and transport all equipment using a variety of trailers, trucks, vans, and other modes of transport we provide.
- Utilize hand grinding equipment.
- Be proficient in the use, cleaning, and maintenance of concrete preparation equipment.
- Make full use of all Personal Protective Equipment gear (provided by employer) such as fall protection, hard hats, safety glasses, respiratory protection, etc.

Qualifications:

-A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.

- Proven experience as a professional concrete polisher or similar role.
- Ability to recognize an issue, troubleshoot it, and effectively execute a solution in real-time. This includes possible issues with surface conditions, equipment issues that may arise, etc.

- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation to shop every day in Flint. Crews utilize company trucks to get to each job from there.
- Proficiency in using a variety of concrete preparation tools and equipment.
- Basic math skills.
- Familiarity with concrete polishing techniques and methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:
- Epoxy coating experience.
- Knowledge of various high performance coatings.

- Shotblasting experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
