GROUP LIVING SERVICES OVERVIEW
Avidity, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization who provides a variety of group living services for adolescents in the foster care system who have been referred by ChildNet, Inc., the local community-based care agency for Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Our 3 group living homes, Apollo, Cassius, and Lilac, serve a total of 45 youth per year. All of these adolescents we serve struggle to engage in prosocial activities. Our programming addresses their past trauma, mental health and behavioral health challenges.

Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates skills and understanding in providing structure and supervision to SED/at-risk youth
- Must be approved to drive company vehicle.
- Provides support in activities to build self-esteem, self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and prepare them to be assets to their communities through promoting pro-social engagement.
- Responsible for providing consistent structure, supervision and behavior management of youth.
- Observes youth for side effects of medication.
- Attends treatment team meetings and provides information on the adjustment of the youth in the group living/shelter.
- Interacts and shares observations with clinicians on the youths’ responses to the treatment plan.
- Completes daily progress note on each youth.
- Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms, as well as experiencing a stressful situation.
- Works cordially with others in a team setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation with a high school diploma or GED
- Computer literate and proficiency to Internet, online applications and email.
- Creative Skills (Arts & Crafts, Sewing, Baking, Cooking) a Must
Salary : $10 - $12
