Job Title: Electrician Senior
Reports To: Tool Assembly Supervisor
Summary: The Senior Electrician is responsible for layout and wiring of electrical components used on tooling for an individual project.
Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as a specialist on the layout and routing of electrical components per assembly
  2. Ensure individual tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regard to time, cost and function
  3. Ensure assigned tooling is completed based on work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications and manuals as necessary
  4. Identify/Diagnose electrical problems, and recommend adjustments/repair work as necessary
  5. Mark up engineering drawings as needed to indicate changes
  6. Report/document said changes to the necessary departments (direct supervisor/engineering/etc.)
  7. Provide accurate time reporting for assigned activities through the ERP system
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures
  9. Ensure compliance with safety procedures
  10. All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  1. Electrician Journeyman Card or 8 years electrical experience in a machine tool shop
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  3. Experience with programming or troubleshooting PLC code a plus, but not required
  4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to prints
  5. Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed
  6. High regard for safety standards
  7. Knowledge of welding and automated welding systems
  8. Knowledge of Electrical Standards, tooling assembly & setup
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills
Work Environment: This position operates in a shop environment.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Frequently required to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.
Expected Hours of Work: This position regularly requires daily overtime hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel: This position may require some out of town and overnight travel.
