DIE CAST OPERATOR
PAY RATE: $16-$19/hour (depending on experience)
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
2nd: 2:30PM- 10:30PM, Mon-Fri, some overtime may be required
3rd: 10:30PM-6:30AM, Mon-Fri, some overtime may be required
2.2.3 Rotation 6:00AM-6:00PM & 6:00PM - 6:00AM, some overtime may be required
An international company (Tier I Supplier), expanding product manufacturing to the US, is seeking to hire Die Cast Operators to join their team in Tanner, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company that offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
POSITION SUMMARY: This person will perform duties to operate the die-cast machine and trim press machine to produce aluminum cast parts in accordance with quality specifications. All employees are required to actively support safety and DOL (5S Philosophy) initiatives as well as follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with teammates to achieve common goals by taking time to understand the objectives and goals, asking questions as appropriate, and seeking help as needed.
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and your process to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Perform tests and inspections of products, services, and equipment control to evaluate the quality of performance.
- Operate, clean, and maintain automated equipment inside and around automated die casting cells.
- Monitor machine performance, inspect casting quality and pack or load castings into dunnage or racks.
- Document production values while following written and verbal procedures and practices.
- Clean and prepare equipment for production by following documented TPM procedures.
- Participate in the development of best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work well in a fast pace environment
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Die Casting or Injection Molding experience preferred
