At Pastini we are inspired by the farms, vineyards and waters of the Pacific Northwest, and are dedicated to serving up two of life’s greatest pleasures… pasta and wine. We know that using fresh, local ingredients makes a difference to our customers and to our community. We source fresh produce, dairy, artisan breads, coffee, and meat locally and we handcraft each entrée to order. Based in Portland, Oregon, our family of restaurants has blossomed and grown to eight wonderful restaurants around the State since we first opened in 2001.

We are seeking a professional, personable, energetic, service-minded leader to join our team in the role of General Manager. Similar experience in a fast-paced, positive, hospitality driven environment is preferred.

A background in sales, hospitality and/or leadership; paired with the ability to learn and grow, and respectfully hold others accountable is expected.

 Job Description

1.      Oversee every aspect restaurant operations.

2.      Ensures excellent guest service that meets or exceeds expectations.

3.      Ensures that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs.

4.      Controlling day-to-day operations - profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.

5.      Working with Management Team to develop the restaurant's annual operating budget and control all profit and loss centers, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.

6.      Operating the business in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws.

7.      Will directly impact interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

8.      Responsible for all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties, completed accurately, on time and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

9.      Manage all shifts, which include daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.

10.   Maximizing table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour.

11.   Enforcing safe work behaviors to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff members.

12.   Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards.

13.   Meet the restaurant's P&L, and expense goals

14.   Promoting selling techniques.

15.   Maintaining professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.

16.   Prepare quarterly Sales and projections with Management Team including follow up on store action plans.

20.   Workplace Safety, OLCC and Health Department Compliance

21.   Food, Beverage and Labor Costs

22.   Inventory and Payroll

 Requirements

1.      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

2.      Minimum of 3 years of salaried management experience in full service, casual dining preferred

3.      Experience with full service, alcohol serving facility desirable

4.      Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction

5.      Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team

6.      Some exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable

7.      Energetic, Positive Leader

8.      Values Integrity and Professionalism

9.      Skilled in Communication, Responsibility and Teamwork

10.   Ability to Mentor and Coach

11.   Skilled with Planning, Time Management and Organization

 

Salary : $71,000 - $80,000
