Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will provide clinical counseling services to individuals in need. Your role will involve conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. You will utilize various counseling techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis intervention, to support individuals in their mental health journey. Responsibilities: - Conduct patient assessments to gather information about their mental health history and current concerns - Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals - Implement therapeutic interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues - Provide counseling sessions to individuals using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy - Assist individuals in developing coping skills and strategies for managing stress and emotions - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients - Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients throughout the counseling process - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient sessions and treatment plans - Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of counseling Qualifications: - Master's degree in Counseling or a related field - Valid licensure or certification as a Counselor (e.g., LPC, LMHC) - Experience in clinical counseling, preferably with a focus on Christian counseling - Knowledge of diagnostic criteria such as ICD-10 for mental health disorders - Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disabilities - Strong assessment skills to accurately identify patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans - Proficiency in coding and documentation for insurance purposes - Ability to effectively utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques in counseling sessions - Excellent crisis intervention skills to support individuals in times of emotional distress - Strong research skills to stay updated on best practices in counseling - Experience with behavior management techniques is preferred We offer competitive compensation packages and opportunities for professional development.
