JOB SUMMARY:
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective supervisor and member. Responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision of staff including caseload assignments, documentation review and ensuring staff are providing quality services, utilization of PATH approved Evidence Based Practices per regulations, standards and policies and procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Improvement (QI) activities including reviewing daily case conference records for all admissions into the program. Ensure all clinically necessary information is recorded within the intake assessment and that all individuals are referred to the most appropriate services to meet their needs. Coordinate linkages to other agencies and programs as needed. Ensure value based payment metrics are achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Behavioral Health Discipline
- At least five years of experience, including supervisory, in the provision of behavioral health services to children, youths, adults and families
- PA Licensure in a behavioral health discipline (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Lic Psychologist) | CADC certification strongly preferred and if not, must be acquired within 1 year of hire
- CBT, TF-CBT, and/or DBT training preferred
- Ability to use electronic health record required
- Excellent writing skills.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Effectively operate, in collaboration with Director, Children and Youth & Adult Outpatient Programs
- Maintain and enforce compliance with DPW’s 55 PA Code Chapter 5200; Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics; Department of Health, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs Chapters 701, 704, 705, 709,711 and Philadelphia DBH requirements, CBH Network Inclusion And Credentialing (NIAC) standards, Managed Care/Medicare/Medicaid/Other Insurance standards.
- Provide and document all individual and group clinical supervision to assigned clinicians in accordance with regulatory and funding standards.
- Oversee, in collaboration with the Director, admissions, assignment and discharge of individuals receiving services
- Ensure individuals seen through intake department are referred to appropriate services
- Utilize the ASAM criteria assessment tool with individuals who are in need of substance abuse services
- Monitor service provision to ensure that each individual receives quality, effective and appropriate clinical services
- Conduct daily case reviews by: a. Review all intake assessments to ensure all documentation requirements are met; b. Ensure all required evaluations are routed to the appropriate doctor for review; c. Evaluate clinical information to guarantee agency and managed care standards are upheld; d. Contact clinician if information is missing/standards are not met; e. Document your review in the individual’s medical record; f. Track outstanding issues and ensure they are corrected and completed within the necessary time frame
- Coordinate crisis and case management services with other staff in COC/Outpatient Department
- Notify supervisory staff of emergencies and urgent issues in a timely manner
- Communicate with your supervisor about individuals needing higher level review
- Provide linkages to other agencies and services as needed
- Ensure individuals gain access to needed psychiatric, medical, social, financial and other appropriate services
- Ensure consultation with the psychiatrist and other members
- Monitor outpatient service area to ensure health and safety of individuals
- Other duties as assigned
