General Summary: Under the direction of the Chancellor, the Registrar is responsible for information processing of student enrollments in accordance with school policy. The Registrar acts as a central communication resource for academic and policy information related to student records management. This position is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the academic record. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following: Oversees all administrative functions of the Registrar’s Office, including processing and maintenance of enrollment records, course registration, grades, transfer of credit, transcripts and other audits and reports as required. Ensures the accuracy, integrity and security of student academic records. Interprets and applies all College academic policies and regulations related to Registrar services. Creates and implements registration process and scheduling of all courses. Maintains and updates the College’s online and print course listings. Oversees the degree audit, certification and issuance of diplomas. Liaison between schools to procure relevant student records and files. Processes requests from students, other districts, colleges and/or employment agencies (e.g. transcripts, job verification, etc.) for the purpose of providing requested information. Provides academic and student data as required to state and federal agencies and surveys (IPEDS, National Student Clearinghouse, Common Data Set, etc.) to faculty and other academic offices, including admissions, enrollment management, financial aid and institutional research. Ensures compliance with FERPA and other federal, state and accreditation regulations. Works closely with other offices and the academic deans on projects relating to institutional priorities Verifies enrollment documents Certifies student completions to the Board of Directors. Actively participates in the community by attending staff and committee meetings. Performs other related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of codes, regulations, and laws related to student enrollment, graduation and transfer. Knowledge of higher education policies including FERPA and Title IX. Excellent analytical, data management and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem solving skills, while maintaining courtesy, professionalism, and a customer service attitude. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Education and Experience: BA/BS degree preferred or at least 1-2 years of professional experience in the Registrar’s Office or similar.
