Patrick Industries is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to add to their growing team. The Continuous Improvement Manager will report directly to the Group Vice President of Paint and Thermoforming and will support the Business Units to foster a culture that promotes increasing efficiencies throughout their manufacturing and distribution facilities.
Sitting out of Elkhart, the CI Manager is responsible for providing guidance with the development of a strategic direction for continuous improvement at Business Units supporting the thermoforming and paint facets of the business.
Functional Responsibilities:
· Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout Business Units
· Provide leadership in the growth and maturation of the continuous improvement culture through training, mentoring, and facilitating Kaizen Events
· Lead Value Stream Mapping events to determine opportunities for improvement in the reduction of waste
· Prioritize continuous improvement initiatives to drive short-term and long-term improvements
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives through the project life cycle to include activities such as process assessments, project planning, collaboration with stakeholders and process users, process observation and baseline metrics collection, team facilitation, and follow-up to ensure sustained results
· Provide continuous improvement training on an as-needed basis to plant personnel and members of leadership
· Manage performance of continuous improvement initiatives, actions, and cross-functional activities
· Support the sharing of best practices from internal and external benchmarking activities
· Develop and utilize tools to analyze, summarize, display and present data to Leadership
· Conduct Six Sigma, Lean projects, leading teams to address business process problems and design new processes to achieve results

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Organizational Leadership and Supervision, Engineering, or a related field highly preferred
· At least 7 years of experience leading manufacturing teams
· 5 years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing TPM, Lean, kaizen/six sigma events and driving lean transformation with proven results and implementations
· Six Sigma green belt training/certification preferred
· OSHA certification preferred
· Proven ability to successfully manage cross functional teams, and implement improvement within an established time frame, then sustain improvements
· Candidates must have high energy and be results oriented
· Ability and desire to train and coach others to improve performance
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management
· Ability to quickly adapt communications in a variety of settings to meet the unique needs of multiple audiences
· Candidate must be able to embrace and lead change, possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to efficiently balance multiple projects
· Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight
· Strong accountability and follow-through skills
· Strong analytical/critical thinking
· A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities
· Bi-lingual Spanish/English language skills desirable
