What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rig Site Thread Rep position at Patriot Premium Threading Services, LLC`?
Reports to the RSS Ops Supervisor and Scheduling Supervisor. This thread representative will be responsible for traveling to oil rig sites for the purpose of doing visual inspections of casing and tubing connections as well as assisting the customer with running the pipe. The position will be located in the West Texas area and may travel for work to eastern New Mexico.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to perform inspections of equipment and threaded connections (Coupling, Pin and Box)
- Visit customer rig sites and other field locations as needed
- Follow all work instructions, specifications and requirements
- Properly identify all visual defects in pipe by category and report findings to personnel on rig
- Knowledge of all applicable work instructions, specifications and requirements
- Ensure all tools are on site to run string of pipe.
- Log tools out and in.
- Set up all hand tools for the job being performed and verify calibration if applicable
- Prepare accurate tickets, job reports, timesheets, and other administrative forms as required. · Inventory and track equipment.
- Remain on site through job completion.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years related field experience
- Oil Rig experience strong plus
- Tubular knowledge and experience preferred
- Must possess competency in inspection and running of API and other threaded connections
- Competency in inspection and running of premium threaded connections strong plus
- Texas Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Owns a late model truck capable of driving off-road on O/G locations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Computer skills in MS Word and Excel computer programs preferred
- Ability to travel including international destinations
- Available on a 24-hour basis to respond to customer needs
