Automotive Service Advisor

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, listening to their concerns, and addressing their needs
- Communicate with customers to understand their vehicle issues and accurately document them
- Utilize auto service management software to create and transmit work orders to the technicians
- Estimate the cost of repairs and provide accurate quotes to customers
- Suspend and resume work orders as needed based on customer approval or additional repairs
- Coordinate with the technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their vehicles
- Assist customers with sales inquiries and upsell additional services as appropriate
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments received

Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Experience in service writing or a similar role in the automotive industry
- Ability to accurately estimate repair costs and provide quotes to customers
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers
- Proficient in using auto service management software for creating work orders and transmitting them to technicians
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell services and products
- Cash handling experience with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records
