We are seeking an experienced grill cook to join our team and contribute to the success of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of grilling techniques. As a grill cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of grilled dishes according to our recipes and standards while maintaining a clean and organized workstation. You must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and high-quality food service.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes such as burgers, steaks, chicken, seafood, and vegetables.
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Monitor grill temperatures and adjust as needed to ensure proper cooking of food items.
  • Coordinate cooking times with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the grill area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures to prevent foodborne illnesses.
  • Handle and store food items properly to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of grill ingredients and notifying management when supplies are running low.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new grill recipes and menu items.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced kitchen staff as needed.

    • Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a grill cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, including temperature control and cooking times for various types of meat and vegetables.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
