As an Account Specialist, you will have an active role in the daily management and growth of our top customer accounts. The Account Specialist will work closely with our Business Development and Account Management team members to strengthen customer loyalty and drive revenue. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused, friendly and driven individual to make an impact not only with our customers, but with our business as well.
Your Day as an Account Specialist:
- Daily point of contact for top strategic verticals and/or customers, managing orders, special pricing, and incentive programs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Partners closely Business Development and Account Management Reps to ensure customers are well cared for.
- Take the lead on resolving order challenges and escalating as necessary.
- Address emerging problems, customer complaints, and order-related issues to maintain and strengthen customer relationships.
- Participate in Business Development and Account Management Rep strategic meetings with top clients.
- Contribute to sales development efforts by handling product consultations, Year-Over-Year follow-ups, and Tradeshow lead follow-ups.
- Manage customer inquiries through various channels and incorporate cross-selling, up-selling, and exceptional customer service in every interaction.
- Meet individual sales goals and contribute to team objectives, including corporate financial targets, service levels, net promoter scores, and customer satisfaction ratings.
Your Qualifications:
- 3 years of strong customer service experience, ideally in a contact center environment
- Some experience in managing large customer accounts
- 1 year of soft sales experience
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Comfortable working at your computer throughout the day
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP order entry systems
- Ability to type minimum of 40 WPM
- Ability to quickly recognize and resolve potential issues
- Strong work ethic and self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to quickly develop a rapport with customers with a professional and friendly attitude
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions and understand concerns
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally for client visits and to exhibit at tradeshows (up to 15%)
- Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift within 8am to 5pm
