What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistcs Manager position at PCCR USA INC?
Job Objectives:
Provide Polynt North America who will establish clear direction in, and accept accountability for the execution of Supply Chain, Freight & Logistics activities. The leader will be responsible for safe and diligent activities including, but not restricted to Dock Operation, and receipt of raw materials and shipment of Finished Goods according to Polynt NA Policy and the above Business needs.
Primary Accountabilities/Functions:
- Logistics:
- Responsible for all outbound and inbound Shipping activities for all Polynt NA Plants and all outside Warehouses scheduling personnel accordingly to accomplish the work.
- Responsible for Associate training which meets Polynt NA, local, state and federal requirements, including but not limited to DOT, IATA, IMDG guidelines.
- Tracks Non-Optimal Freight and implements Productivity projects in collaboration with other departments to reduce Polynt NA Freight & Logistics expense.
- Conducts Core Carrier reviews for all of the Polynt NA Plants to ensure Carrier compliance with Polynt NA Logistics Policy and Service Levels.
- Management Leadership
- Supervise One site Logistics Planner, Freight Auditor, Logistics Coordinator and dotted line responsibility for the Site Logistics Planners/Shipping Team mgrs.
- Maintain Bi-annual reviews.
- Manages Change according to Polynt NA Policy.
- Coordinate Customer return.
- Coordinate the successful resolution of all Carrier freight claims.
- Participate in the development and ensure compliance to all Division Routing guides.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Prefer a College or University Diploma in Supply Chain. An equivalency of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in dealing with Transportation Management Software (TMS);
- Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately and possess eye-hand motor coordination.
- Perform duties under stress.
- Ability to summarize activity key indicators.
- Adapt to situations requiring preciseness and adapt to changing duties and responsibilities. Must be able to adapt to situations involving the interpretation of feelings, ideas, or facts;
- Ability to influence people in the opinions, attitudes, or judgments; and be able to generalize, evaluate, make decisions, and perform repetitive work.
