Senior Systems Engineer
*** This is a hybrid work schedule: 3 days to work onsite at corporate HQ in Redwood City, CA and 2 days to work from home ***
Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer will apply professional experience in the design, implementation, migration and management of on-prem and cloud systems including O365, AD, IIS, Virtualization, and Windows/Linux OS. Serve in an advisory role for technology roadmap, application changes, requested enhancements and recommends policies and procedures for system use and services.

Essential Functions:
- Management of O365 Email system, Teams, AD, DNS, DHCP and Windows Servers
- Monitoring systems performance monitoring, tuning and capacity planning.
- Administer hybrid cloud system infrastructure, including compute, storage, VMWare and Windows OS
- System updates, patching and backups to support published retention policy and disaster recovery requirements.
- Follow technology maintenance schedules based on business operations and requirements.
- Manage end user accounts, rights, group policy, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Follow change management procedures, schedule, install, troubleshoot, and support windows software and hardware upgrades and purchases.
- Design, configure, deploy and support systems utilizing the Azure stack focusing on high availability and fault tolerance.
- Practice asset management, including regularly scheduled maintenance of inventory, documentation and technical documentation.
- Participate in vendor negotiations, technical security reviews and relationship management.
- Find and implement opportunities for automation and efficiencies for daily operations.
- Test and update disaster recovery plan and ensure all systems and data are successfully backed up and sent off site as necessary.
- Suggests actions in order to mitigate risk in any activity that potentially impacts security of existing IT and information management.
- Contributes to the creation of information security policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
- Actively lead or participate on and/or with project teams created to meet short and long-term strategic goals.
- Evaluates new technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the infrastructure.
- Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems.
- Continually develop professional skills to be knowledgeable of new technologies, best practices, regulatory and compliance issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent combination of education is required
- 8 Years experience supporting and maintaining windows servers, O365, Storage, Virtualization, and Active Directory on premise and Azure Cloud
- Working experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective Team Player.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and complete assignments.
- Excellent server operating systems and hardware equipment knowledge.
- Strong server administration skills, windows server, Exchange/O365 email knowledge.
- Skilled in testing and administration of SAN platforms, Backup and VMware systems.
- Extensive application support experience with Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, PKI, DNS, DHCP
- Knowledge of local and wide area network administration including VLAN’s and VPN’s.
- Knowledge of scripting skills with a focus on automation.
Licenses and Certifications
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) is required.

Compensation:
Pay Grade is T5. This position is eligible for profit sharing bonus twice a year.
Targeted Base Pay $113,049 - $140,015
