Position Overview
The part-time custodian will maintain cleanliness of our administration areas and perimeter of the building. The external and internal appearance of our building reflects on our Company image. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleanliness and upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in this position.
Schedule: Approximately 25 hours a week; Monday - Friday during office hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sanitizes and cleans common areas (i.e., offices, bathrooms, lobby, break rooms, offices, front entrance, etc.)
- Maintain premises by removing litter and rubbish from main common areas and outside front entrance walkways and flowerbeds, waters plants, cleans windows
- Sweep, vacuum and mop floors, take out trash, tidy furniture and dust surfaces
- Monitors, cleans, and sanitizes restroom mirrors, sinks and toilets
- Restocks disposables in restrooms and breakroom (e.g., soap, toilet paper, paper towels, plates, cups, forks, etc.)
- Assist in inventory management of janitorial supplies
- Responds to any spills or other cleaning crises
- When applicable, place safety hazard signs out (ex. wet floor warning)
- Prepare conference rooms before and after meetings
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience as custodian, janitor, or similar role
- Commitment to safety rules
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness with good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy objects etc.)
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
- Safety and OSHA training required

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
I hereby consent to allow PDM US, LLC to take a specimen of my hair, urine, or blood and submit it to a laboratory testing service for a pre-employment, random or reasonable suspicion drug test. I further consent to allow the laboratory testing service to make the results of the drug test available to PDM US, LLC.
I understand that positive test results, refusal to be tested or any attempt to affect the test results or test sample will result in the withdrawal of my application for employment and/or withdrawal of any provisional employment offer I have received from PDM US, LLC or termination of employment, depending on when the results are received.
