Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team at PDQ America. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing various financial aspects, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and other accounting duties. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and send invoices to clients promptly.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Address customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date AR records.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve outstanding payment issues.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding.
- Prepare and process electronic payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and complete AP records.
- Assist in the preparation of expense reports.
General Accounting:
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and accounting best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in AR and AP functions.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
