What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at PDS Tech, Inc.?
What You’ll Do as a Forklift Operator:
• 6 months-1year of forklift experience in the past 2 years
Hours:
12 hour rotating shifts- candidates MUST be ok rotating between day shift and night shift every other week. Every 4 weeks they will get 7 straight days off. Please highlight that they will be scheduled to work about 15 days/ month, with the option to volunteer for overtime if they want to. Shift times start either 6am/7am or 6pm/7pm (12 hour shifts)
- Operate sit-down forklift receiving products from carrier
- Distribute and issue products throughout production areas
- Manage warehouse inventory
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage areas
- Perform inspections on equipment prior to and following operational use
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Clean and maintain work station and follow all safety and company policies
- Keep track of parts and materials and refill bins needed to perform duties
- Operate material handling equipment such as clamp trucks and cherry pickers
• 6 months-1year of forklift experience in the past 2 years
- Ability to work 12-hours rotating shifts
- Must be able to walk 2 miles per day and stand 8-12 hour shifts
- Standing, lifting, twisting and bending abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. on a repetitive basis throughout the day
- Availability to work overtime if needed
