- The Human Resources Business Partner will provide HR support to the client's rapidly growing Research and Innovation Center in Cambridge Massachusetts. The HR site lead will support various clients under the Research & Development Group. Clients include Clinical Development, Oncology Early R&D, Cell Gene Therapy, Business Development and Licensing. Responsibilities will include but not limited to partnership with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers, new employee on-boarding, compensation reviews, talent management and support of on-site senior leaders.
- Provide strategic leadership and coordination for all Human Resources (HR) activities.
- Partner with recruiting personnel and hiring managers to provide guidance and influence key staffing decisions.
- Lead effective local Talent Management (TM) initiatives in line with the global Client Group TM strategy to attract, identify, assess, talent of strengths and development opportunities, develop and retain the right employees and to maintain a powerful talent pipeline.
- Support management in the preparation of employee development plans.
- Provide guidance and direction to supervisors and managers regarding performance management, performance improvement plans, progressive discipline, and other employment practices.
- Partner with client groups to develop and/or assess the effectiveness of career paths, align their operations and employee capabilities to the overall strategic directions, job ladders, and job descriptions.
- Effectively communicate HR products, perspectives, services, programs and policies to management and employees and implication on business strategies.
- Consult in close collaboration with legal counsel/litigation on ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable employment laws and company policies.
Education Requirement(s):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with the focus on Human Resources, Business Management or relevant.
- At least nine years of progressive experience in HR positions (experience includes Business Partner/Generalist/Specialist expertise across various business functions or industries).
- Previous experience supporting a Research and Development organization preferably in Pharmaceutical/Biotech industries
- Experience working in a global environment and matrix organization.
- In-depth knowledge of HR processes, programs, policies, and systems.
- Experienced in multi-disciplinary project and corresponding change management
- Previous site management experience
- Ability to work both tactically and strategically
- Comfort in working in a fast-paced matrix environment
