Structures Analyst II
Location: Kent, WA; El Segundo, CA; Van Horn, TX; Merritt Island, FL; or Highlands Ranch, CO.

Compensation: $40/hr - $65/hr DOE and Location
Role Overview: We are seeking a Structural Analyst II with expertise in primary structures for various aerospace applications. As part of our dedicated team, you will perform structural analysis to support the design and development of spacecraft components.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze load paths from conceptual design to drawing release and hardware creation.
- Perform structural analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft structures.
- Integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments.
- Develop, refine, validate, and correlate finite element models.
- Conduct strength checks and generate analysis reports.
- Develop test and verification plans and generate corresponding reports.
- Support configuration development and trade studies.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
- 2-4 years of aerospace/space industry experience.
- Proficiency in Nastran.
- Experience with primary structures on aerospace projects.
- Ability to perform hand calculations for structural analysis.
- Strong foundation in structural static and dynamic fundamentals.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with external loads, vibro-acoustic analysis, and thermal loads.
- Familiarity with Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, or Optistruct.
- Ability to define vehicle load paths and perform strength analysis.
- Experience with metallic and/or composite structures.
- Composite design and analysis skills in thermoset, thermoplastic, metal matrix, and ceramic matrix composites.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods, material selection, testing, and characterization.
- Experience with structural optimization using standard industry codes (Optistruct, HyperSizer, Nastran Sol 200, Abaqus, Adams).
- Proficiency with ProEngineer Wildfire 4 / Creo Parametric or greater.
- Experience with human spaceflight and composites.
