PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager ASC Business Operations for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.
The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $35.67 – $53.50. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.
JOB SUMMARY
Manages the coordination of the activities of a business unit or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing. Responsible for operational performance, quality, service environment and regulatory compliance. Receives assignment in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise, coach, mentor, train and evaluate assigned staff.
- Review Surgical Services monthly and quarterly dashboards. Monitor trends, PI, and variances on the monthly dashboard and meet with department managers to create corrective action plans as indicated.
- Collaborate with Director to determine appropriate surgeon block and block related requests.
- Review financial result of specific service lines within Surgical Services. Provide supplemental analyses and reporting as required. Create and manage tracking tools to help managers stay within operational budgets.
- Collaborate with financial staff on financial modeling and forecasting, trend evaluation, scenario and sensitivity analysis. Participate in short and long term planning.
- Charge capture verification analysis within Surgical Services.
- Monitor and report surgical statistics to other departments as applicable.
- Synthesize and analyze data to prepare market and industry assessments, trend analyses, and competitive overviews. Present analysis in collaboration with Director.
- Maintain planning databases and planning systems including data integrity, accuracy, and resolution of data issues.
- Manage general system requirements using a broad based understanding of systems relationships, estimating work required task-by-task, determining the sequence, assigning task to team members and maintaining detailed project/work plans. Assist Director in the design implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems needed for all aspects of the department’s operations.

QUALIFICATIONS Required unless otherwise stated
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the incumbent with the requisite knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the job.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- RN licensure may be preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability.

PHMG PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

Work requires fairly light physical exertion up to 33% of the time.

Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.

Work requires frequent exposure to conditions involving minor cold, heat, poor ventilation or sharp instruments such as syringes or lancets. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids once per month or more.
- Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
