JOB SUMMARY:
1. Staffing:
- Entry-level position emphasizing professionalism, confidentiality, and strong communication and computer skills.
- Responsible for daily administration of Human Resources & General Affairs Department (including Training, Safety & Health, and Security).
- Promotes positive teamwork and safety culture.
- Assists temporary personnel during assignments and supports placement of Japanese members. Provides advice to the Manager as needed.
1. Staffing:
- Assists in staffing temporary personnel through approved agencies.
- Conducts initial contact, safety orientation, and building tours for temporary personnel.
- Reviews ongoing progress/evaluations of temporaries and recommends them for full-time employment as appropriate.
- Maintains Temporary Personnel Database.
- Processes weekly temporary timesheets and manages billing concerns with staffing agencies.
- Initiates background investigations and schedules orientations for production openings.
- Ensures accuracy of MSDS sheets.
- Assists with safety committee meetings and safety training.
- Tracks Accident/Incident Investigation Reports and countermeasure confirmations.
- Orders safety and first aid supplies.
- Coordinates uniform fittings, alterations, and returns.
- Manages employee locker assignments and maintenance.
- Coordinates Company travel and maintenance of Company vehicles.
- Maintains records of Company keys.
- Assists with scheduling and documentation for All-Employee meetings.
- Facilitates communication between Presidents, HRs, and employees.
- Provides employee assistance and referrals as needed.
- Orders office supplies.
- Distributes employee communications.
- Updates HR Bulletin Board.
- Assists with maintenance of physical employee files and HRIS database.
- May train as backup for payroll.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Maneuverability around office and plant.
- Good eyesight.
- Effective communication skills.
- Quick and accurate report generation.
- Primarily office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
- Occasional time spent on production floor communicating with employees.
- High School diploma required; some college courses preferred.
- Minimum one year of human resource experience.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work ethically in a fast-paced environment.
