What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Test Publishing Analyst position at Pearson?
The Associate Test Publisher is responsible for assisting the Test Publisher and Sr. Test Publisher with various tasks that relate to test publishing. These tasks include data entry, basic exam development functionality, publishing, pricing, documentation of client specifics, and some workflow management. The incumbent will assist the Test Publisher or Sr. Test Publisher in following process to insure that exams are delivered as accurately as possible while working on several different clients and exams concurrently.
Working closely with other Testing Services staff, the Associate Test Publisher performs tasks assigned to target a zero defect, secure, and satisfactory test publishing service to Pearson VUE’s clients and candidates.
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $46,000 - 49,000. This position is not bonus eligible, and information on benefits offered is here .
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build/Publish Exams
- Build exams according to customer specifications using proprietary and general use software tools
- Ensure that the exam output match the test specification with regard to performance and the accuracy of scoring
- Trouble-shoot technical errors during building and compilation of exams
- Publish exams to Pearson VUE systems and ensure correct functionality
Quality Assurance Verification
- Review client exams for consistency with source files
- Document and escalate deviations in client exams with source files
- Run a full end-to-end quality check of an exam with Pearson VUE's proprietary software (test driver, delivery manager, and registration manager)
- Document systems and processes
- Update and edit test cases, test checklists and test scenarios
- Understand impact of errors on the team and the business
Continual Improvement
- Work with the test publishers to provide a high standard of quality for all exam and software releases
- Analyze and make recommendations to improve exam publishing and QA processes
- Other duties as assigned
Bachelor degree preferred
- Experience in the education, training and development, or technology industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Windows
- Project experience or customer service experience
- Experience in the certification or licensure industry preferred
- Course work or experience in logic or statistics preferred
