The Content Analyst is responsible for acquiring authors and guiding their work to bring leading-edge content and teaching models to Pearson, for developing a content strategy and informing products to drive better learning experiences and outcomes and delight customers in enhancing ways. Product Management holds commercial accountability for product strategy and roadmap, Content Strategy is responsible for developing thought leaders and market-shaping ideas into the content that fuels our products. Both are partners with the goal to deliver a product portfolio that meets market expectations for their assigned segment and drives revenue for Pearson. The role reports to the Director, Content Strategy- Math, Computer Science and Engineering. This role can be full-time remote or work from one of the Pearson locations in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the mathematics/statistics content strategy for a diverse list of titles.
Collaborate with Product Management colleagues to agree on product release cycles and strategy.
Acquire, develop, and deliver the content needed to produce products that meet market and customer opportunities and learner needs and outcomes.
Project manage the content development and delivery process from idea to delivery in final product.
Work closely with existing and new authors to deliver innovative content and content solutions that meet the market and product requirements established with the mathematics/statistics product manager
Ensure that the course content developed by authors is best-of-class in scholarship, pedagogy, curriculum and course alignment, and level.
Scout and recruit new content providers / content solutions that can align with product strategy and roadmap goals
Manage accessibility and diversity & inclusion evaluation and development of content based on Pearson’s Editorial Policy and global and local guidelines and insights
Be a market expert on curriculum and teaching model direction in the Math and Statistics discipline(s) through regular analysis of competitive trends through customer engagement, peer review analysis, and market research and networking with the academic community.
Support the sales and marketing teams with training and customer contact regarding content and pedagogy.
Provide input to the continuous improvement of content strategy processes - thinking simpler, leaner, and faster - to accelerate innovation and time to market
Cross-team collaboration and continuous reconfiguration of resourcing with flexible, adaptive structures organized around opportunity are critical requirements for this role.
Negotiate and manage author contracts with the Legal team, including audits and other legal issues that are author-related.
Help ensure compliance and vigilance with ADA, DEI and other Editorial Policies.
Act as an ambassador for Pearson products, generating excitement and enthusiasm internally and externally.

Qualifications Key Requirements
Degree (or equivalent preferred)
3 or more years of educational editorial experience working with authors from idea to product delivery including print and digital.
Project management knowledge and experience managing complex projects with multiple authors and deliverables. Ability to translate the winning content strategies into actionable plans and products that drive value for customers and learners.
Ability to gather quantitative and qualitative insight into the needs of different markets and the opportunities within them and to build content strategies and execute on them serving multiple markets at once.
Analytical reasoning skills and the ability to distill multiple inputs from markets, customers, thought leaders, operations, business strategies and goals into author guidance and content development.
Strategic thinking with a focus on operational delivery.
Able to maintain a prioritization to help deliver product content, aid ensuring that the product content stays on track to achieve its strategic objectives.
Must have market knowledge in the discipline of statistics.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $65 - 75k per year, depending on experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
