Overview
This role will work closely with the Events and Marketing teams, interact with the organization's executive leaders, and report to the Head of Global Conferences and Events. This is a sales position that supports the GED Annual Conference Sponsorship and Exhibits.
Qualifications:
3 year(s) experience in event planning, event sponsorship sales, fundraising, and booth and vendor management in tradeshows and events 3 year(s) experience in enterprise and B2B salesExcellent attention to detail, highly effective organizational and time management skills and the ability to write business documents, such as board reports and sponsorship packages
Outstanding organizational, written, communication, interpersonal, production, and negotiation skills
Ability to work well in a team environment and manage relationships with stakeholders including staff, vendors, clients, and executive level decision makers
Ability to remain calm in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environments
Exceptional problem-solving and technical skills
Creative, curious, and unafraid to share new ideas and initiatives
Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines
Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 25% a year
Responsibilities Include:
The role involves planning, driving, and managing the sponsorship program for the GED Annual Conference
Generate conference sponsorship, digital advertising, and printed advertising revenue by opening new opportunities through face-to-face and telephone selling
Overseeing communication with sponsors, aligning business and market needs
Maintain the relationship through to the event activation and follow up afterwards to ensure renewal
Ensure events align with sponsor expectations and commitments
Maintain Relationships with Sponsors
The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction
Careful planning and execution of the floor plan for exhibits and sponsors to ensure customer satisfaction
This individual will be responsible for driving monthly recurring revenue through the sale of sponsorships

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $75,000 - $80,000 and is eligible in the company’s yearly AIP program.
