Implementation Specialist - GEDWorks and Accelerated Pathways
The GED test is accepted by virtually all U.S. colleges and employers. GED Testing Service® and Accelerated Pathways are part of the Workforce Skills division of Pearson. Pearson’s Workforce Skills provides employers and health plans with turnkey solutions to enable their workforce and members to earn their GED credential, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, and master’s degree along with skills based upskilling credentials. Accelerated Pathways offers a tuition assistance program to employers and consumers to provide an affordable path to post-secondary education.

The Implementation Specialist will ensure that purchased software systems (internally developed application called GEDManager) meet the clients’ technical needs, their job is to customize the software according to the clients’ needs and specifications, teach clients how to use the software, and install and customize software systems once approved.
A successful job applicant should have excellent customer service skills, presentation, technical software capabilities, and strong organizational skills.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Configuration 70%:
- Manage logistics of and execute technical onboarding of multiple customers at a time, leading them through the setup and configuration process
- Ensure each customer can access and utilize the product to its maximum value by providing training to client staff on utilizing GED Manager and accessing client reports.
- Partner cross-departmentally with Customer Service/Success team members and developers as needed to execute setup/configuration
Client Relations 20%:
- Proactively communicate with the Sales Team, Account Management Team, Advisor Team, and the client to plan and maintain onboarding schedules in line with Service Agreements
- Coordinate Onboarding meetings with the Business Development Managers; specifically: facilitating the meeting, engaging with clients during the onboarding process, answering questions, and troubleshooting any issues post onboarding - primarily via email, but through chat, phone, and/or Zoom as necessary
- Communicate client feedback to the development team and collaborate to troubleshoot and improve the product/customer journey
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify gaps in client onboarding processes
Operations 10%:
- Leverage GED Manager, Salesforce, and Excel to move systematically through client onboarding progress and to communicate status of account to other departments
- Recognize onboarding trends and suggest optimizations that may improve the onboarding journey
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only , the range of starting pay for this role is $55,000 - $61,000. This position is not bonus eligible, and information on benefits offered is here.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Proficient in the use of customer management software (Salesforce preferred).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Proficient in the use of Tableau (preferred)
- Proven ability to partner and communicate clearly with customers through complex processes and engagements, required
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives at one time, required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to self-motivate and work independently
- Ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems
- Ability to build relationships and rapport
