The MAM plays a critical role in defining, enabling and measuring scalable best practices and processes for automated lifecycle campaigns for Pearson’s HECW Marketing Organization. The Marketing team supports the higher education sales, support and product teams by engaging higher education faculty, administrators and learners throughout their lifecycle, from awareness to adoption as well as the ongoing use of Pearson content and digital learning platforms.
This position will work directly with HECW Marketing Leadership to make valued contributions in support of Pearson’s mission of being the world’s leading digital education company for higher education and lifelong learning.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Automation & Technology, the MAM’s responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams to define customer segments and lead the development of automation best practices. The ideal candidate is someone who has successful experience executing marketing automation initiatives in the past and is ready to lead the strategic marketing conversation. Moreover, he/she/they enjoy working with and sharing ideas with multiple teams in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative, results-oriented, inclusive environment.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $115,000 - $125,000.

Position Description
- Work with the HECW Marketing Leadership to define, document, and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in marketing automation and email campaigns.
- Consult with campaign and project management teams to drive best practice with customer segmentation, email list creation, web forms, landing pages, progressive profiling and email personalization.
- Create automations around specific customer attributes derived from our Customer Data Platform (CDP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Create and execute email marketing initiatives in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to include dynamic content; segmentation, QA/testing, scheduling, deployment, and campaign analysis.
- Work with Marketing Analytics, Sales Operations and IT Teams to establish dashboards that measure the performance of automated campaigns.
- Analyze marketing automation and email campaign results vs. key metrics to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
- Stays current with CRM and marketing technology software functions and features and works with IT team to evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize the performance and impact of campaigns.
- Educate marketers on marketing-related CRM and marketing technology software platform functions and processes.
- Promote a transparent, accessible, and inclusive culture where employees are encouraged to learn more about themselves and others.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 – 7 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing automation or email marketing with a keen understanding of marketing technology platforms.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5 Years of experience working with and developing automations, journeys, and triggered sends in a Marketing Automation platform (e.g. Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Hubspot, etc.) with at least 3 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot systems.
- Experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Proven ability to understand, assess, and document approaches to lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation, personalization, and other lead/customer management practices.
- Desire and ability to work with the marketing leadership team to define, enable, and drive scalable best practices across campaigns teams.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to successfully work across teams and functions to drive results.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to generate and communicate actionable insights from marketing data.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
