Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Platform Manager responsible for the Delivery and Support of core software platforms in the Content Creation and Rights Management area.
The Platform Manager shares responsibility for planning and managing the delivery of Content & Rights Management Technologies. The Platform Manager is active in all phases of delivery and support, from planning and tracking milestones, releases, risks, and timelines, managing delivery with external vendors and internal development teams, coordinating quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, and release management, and managing ongoing support and stability of deployed systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of solutions and platforms of varying size and complexity
- Manage multiple deliverables and platform updates concurrently
- Create and maintain platform documentation
- Facilitate productive platform delivery and support meetings
- Communicate platform management updates
- Identify platform management risks and plan to mitigate them
- Coordinate delivery, validation, and deployment of vendor platform updates and enhancements
- Manage and track platform support issues to resolution
- Design issue tracking and resolution process
- Collaboratively solve problems
- Quickly grasp new concepts
- Form strong relationships within and between teams
- Learn about the enterprise systems we work with
- Continuously learn new platform management skills and share best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience in educational publishing, educational technology, or instructional design
- Requires a minimum of 5-7 years experience of software platform delivery management, support management, and project management experience in IT or software field (ideally Media or Publishing)
- Experience with BA/PM toolsets: JIRA, Smartsheets, Windows Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Successful track record of managing platform delivery on schedule and budget, and managing support issues to resolution within agreed SLAs
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Understands team dynamics, fostering a positive team environment
- Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies
- Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences.
- Excellent customer service ethic
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Good organisational, planning & time management skills.
- Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills.
- A track record of building, maintaining and managing strong relationships within an international business and across many different stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of how information should be presented to get across important issues to different groups of stakeholders
- Proactive in seeking information, challenging norms and driving efficiency
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively assess and resolve complex issues and problems
- Accomplished team player with a desire to work hard, get along with others, and have fun.
