UX Researcher - Remote

At Pearson you will be challenged in an organization that values vision, execution, and persistence. We are looking for a UX Researcher with a portfolio of research artifacts and examples of user insights.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes UX Designers, UI Designers, Content Strategists, and other UX Researchers. You will play an integral role on this team by gathering insights about the people who use and need our products. The data will help us understand the emotions, challenges, and behaviors of our users and inform experience improvement and design strategy.
This role is deeply collaborative as each team needs to work hand-in-hand to reach collective success. You will conduct research using a variety of methodologies including interviews, field studies, workshops, ethnography, user testing, etc. With an appreciation for the art of storytelling, you will present and share findings with your team and possibly with stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute research using appropriate methodologies (e.g. interviews, field studies, workshops, ethnography, user testing, etc) in order to learn about our users to build and improve our products.
- Understanding and advocating for the user
- Collaborate with Research Manager and the cross-functional team to identify and prioritize the highest impact research opportunities and experience improvements.
- Followup on past research to measure implementation and business impact.
- Be proactive in seeking new knowledge and growing your skills
- Advocate for research and socialize insights with stakeholders.
- Share research via different mediums including: workshops, written reports, video recordings, presentation decks, etc.
- Use Usertesting.com to exevute tests.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to execute AB testing
- Strong focus on process and documentation of research
Experience and Skills
- 1 years of experience in UX Research with a portfolio of work samples that showcases process, methodologies, actionable insights, and success metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in a design related field or one of the following: Psychology, Antropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, Human Factors. Relevant work experience in UX and UX Research will also be considered.
- Excellent communication skills, self management, and organizational skills.
- General understanding of UXR methodologies, when to use which, how to execute them, and ability to analyze data.
- Comes to work with a positive attitude and highly collaborative mindset.
- Ability to hear and take in feedback – always willing to learn new things about your field and self.
- Responsible, accountable, solution-oriented.
- Contributes to a positive team culture
- Experience with UserTesting.com and/or similar tools.
