Position Summary:
The Production Coordinator reviews and plans all technical aspects of entering a job into production. This position will create and maintain production schedules in order to ensure that all company goals are achieved and that deadlines are met. She/he will use their knowledge of the production process and reports to create daily & weekly production schedules. This position will recommend any changes that can be made to the production process in order to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction. He/she will monitor production activities and evaluate the impacts of variations from schedule.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enter all new job requirements & details into production system
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time & within budget
- Prepare and submit status & performance reports
- Provide quick responses to production issues
- Address issues regarding quality and production
- Plan, schedule, and direct production activities
- Maintain communication between Sales, CS, & Production
- Develop & maintain production tracking reports
- Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process
- Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational & problem-solving skills
- 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in the printing industry
- Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
- Good understanding of the print industry and thorough understanding of the production process (Preferred)
- Associates degree and/or a technical certification in the industry (Preferred)
