Overview
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a per diem, experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to join our growing pediatric service at Wynn Hospital (formerly St. Luke's) in Utica, NY.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include coverage of 8-bed inpatient pediatric unit, emergency department consultations, and the majority of newborn nursery coverage shared with the neonatology service. No delivery attendance or NICU coverage.
- Family medicine residents, OB residents, and medical student education are part of this practice.
- Shifts are 24 hours rounding plus call - block scheduling available
- Pediatric service is supported by pediatric-trained speech, occupational, and physical therapies, pediatric-certified echocardiographers, and lactation consultants. Neonatology consultations available in house; other pediatric sub-specialties available from tertiary center in nearby city..
Qualifications
- NY license required
- Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent experience required
