JOB TITLE: Sales Manager - Industrial Safety
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $105,000 Base Plus Commissions & Incentive Plan
OVERVIEW
The Industrial Safety Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales in our Industrial Safety division. Since 1963 Pelsue has been a leader in driving innovation with our line of industrial safety products, including: Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Ventilation and Work Tent products. We’re looking for a sales leader that will manage and grow a team of inside and outside sales personnel. Along with managing a team, you will also be an individual contributor with key accounts. We sell most products through distributor partners. You will also be involved in new product and new market initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a sales team to drive sales of Pelsue’s industrial safety product lines including confined space ventilation, fall arrest, rescue and retrieval, work tents, & trailers.
- Pelsue sells its safety products through distributors. In collaboration with the leadership team, you will build & strengthen the distributor network by identifying potential new channel partners, strengthening existing partner relationships & ensuring current partners are meeting their purchase targets.
- Build brand awareness, strengthen existing markets & help to identify new markets.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop a system of reporting and key metrics to ensure effective management of the sales channel.
- Get to know competitor’s products and determine differentiation strategies to drive brand growth.
- Working with the leadership team & our marketing partner, you will evaluate SEO & other web & social data analytics to drive increased engagement across our web platforms.
- Develop a customer service team that provides exceptional service, support & follow up to our customers.
- You will be responsible for building your team while also performing duties of an individual contributor for key accounts.
- You will be expected to work with the engineering team to ensure that product enhancements and new products are developed and brought to market

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibilities including various sales, sales support & customer service personnel.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work while in the office are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During travel, extended, outside of normal work hours may be required.
TRAVEL
Some travel to industry tradeshows and events, customer site visits, distribution partners and other travel will be required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Experience working with distributors, preferably in Industrial Safety. Bachelor’s degree required, sales & customer service experience in a B2B sales environment required. Experience managing internal sales & support personnel. A valid driver’s license and a clean MVR is required. Ability to pass a post-offer background check.
