What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Editor position at Penco Products?
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for entering customer orders for manufacturing or shipment. Our goal is to ensure the entered orders are accurate and able to be processed correctly. This position operates under the guidance of the Project Estimating Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes the following; however, other duties may apply.)
- Receives and enters orders received via email or fax.
- Manage orders from receipt of PO to release to production. Partners with various departments to resolve engineering and set-up issues.
- Partner with Customer Service to ensure purchase order information is complete and clear of errors.
- Enters claim orders and returns as needed.
- Run order hold reports to identify orders with increased cycle time, i.e. credit, engineering, etc.
- Create and file orders daily.
- Proof and correct orders daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements/Skills
· High School diploma required.
· 1-3 years’ experience entering customer orders for manufactured goods.
· Experience with SAP or Epicor a plus.
· Good attention to detail.
Rating II Qualifications
- Highly knowledgeable about the product and processes.
- Ability to mentor new hires.
- Cross-functional in entering orders for both Product Storage and Textile categories.
